Blog 1.6
Welcome back Bloggers! Once again habits are going great. I'm feeling strong about my habits and really don't even think about them anymore.
My struggle the past two blogs has been about how to find motivation and time to go run a mile a week. I still have not completed this task. I did however run extra with some of my teammates after football practice. We condition at the end of Monday practices and me and few other kids stay after and run an extra 400 yards. This group and I have been doing this for the past few weeks and it's become an obvious habit. It's easy to complete the task of running extra because we are holding each other accountable for doing so. If one starts walking back to their pickup, we yell at them to come back and run. I think I will try to apply this technique to running my mile. Finding a friend that can hold me accountable for doing so will make it easier to run the mile.
On top of my push ups and sit ups, I've added some other additional workouts, mainly based off gables (working out with a 45 lb. plate). I'll do some overhead press and curls with it to try and work some different muscles. I've also noticed with these workouts that once I get started, it's a lot easier to keep going and to want more. Getting the motivation just to get up and get started is the hardest part and it isn't even that hard anymore.

That is awesome that you have developed these tasks into habits. Do you have any other tasks that you want to try and develop into habits, since you have most of them down now.
ReplyDeleteThat is great that you have been able to form these habits. What will you do for running since it has begun snowing?
