Welcome back bloggers!
During last Saturday's football game, I injured my right hand. It's not too bad, but it makes it difficult to do my push ups every day. Sunday, I didn't do my push ups and sit ups and I thought that it was interesting that the next morning I was also late. It seems like since I didn't do part of my routine, the other part was more difficult to carry out.
Monday I decided to lift with Garren after we had football film. We ended up running 2.5 miles on the treadmill as well. It felt good to run and do some other workouts other than push ups and sit ups.
The other nights I've been doing extra sit ups or something different, that way I can still work out. I'm able to work around the problem of my hand by putting different workouts in place of my push ups.

This genius hour topic seems to take a lot of self awareness and it is interesting to see how changing one thing in your day can effect how other things play out. You seem to be making good progress and adapting well to obstacles and changes. I am excited to see everything you obtain from your studies.
ReplyDeleteI think that this is an interesting analysis of your behavior. It is really cool that you can pick up on the small things that may lead you away from good habits, and can then work to avoid them. It seems like your hard work may be paying off. Have you noticed any difference?
ReplyDeleteVery nice. It seems your habits are really getting set into your schedule. I noticed you said you injured your hand in football. That is a lame excuse to break habit! Just do one handed push-ups. Anyway keep those habits through the year.
ReplyDeleteIr's good that you are working around hurting your hand. For me it would be difficult to alter a habit like that, but it is good that you were able to. I hope that you will be able to stick with your new habits and maybe even revert back to doing the push ups when your hand is better.
